…a swampy, gutbucket thrillride: New CD available now!

Here is what folks are saying about  ”Diamonds On the Desert Floor”:

“Deb sings like a caged animal whose emotions are barely being held in check…if this CD is any indication, Deb and the band are destined for bigger and better things”

~ Steve Jones, Blues Blast Magazine

“I have been deeply touched everytime I have listened to this album”

~ Mladen Loncar, Radio Krizevci, Croatia

“This excellent CD offers a real maturity seldom heard on debut recordings…each song stands out on its own”

 ~Ron Bervoets, Rootstime.be, Belgium

Long Tall Deb and the Drifter Kings have crafted a delicious blend of gutbucket rhythm and fermented blues topped with the rich, soulful vocals of “Long Tall” Deb Landolt. Bassist Melvin Powe and drummer Doug Oscard provide  the solid backbone for guitarist Richey B’s expressive work. The band’s strong original music and dynamic performances are the reason many folks call them a group on the rise. As the winners of the 2009 River City Ohio Blues Competition, they represented the Blues, Jazz, and Folk Music Society of Marietta at the 2010 International Blues Challenge in Memphis, Tennessee. Their  debut CD , “Diamonds on the Desert Floor”, produced by Michael Hill is now available online and at shows. It was recently honored as a “Pick To Click” on Sirius/XM Radio’s B.B. King’s Bluesville!

  25. What do you say at the being of ”

“Ride This Land”? Meaning? Thanks, Karen & Charlie

    • You asked what I am saying at the beginning of “Ride this Land”? It is Spanish (or at least the border Tex-Mex I grew up listening to) for “I love you” I say, “Te amo, Ian-bear” I call my son Ian-bear, which is less annoying to him at this stage of preteen-ness than, say “little bear” ;)

We are looking forward to hanging with you before the show on Sept 11!

      love

      Deb

  26. Made my day….dropped in on some jammin’ blues in Dayton. Ohio…Thanx to you folks for an enjoyable evening.
